Check Entry & English Requirements

Undergraduate & Postgraduate Entry

Academic Requirements:
• Undergraduate: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Intermediate / A-Levels or recognized Diploma.
• Postgraduate: Recognized Bachelor’s degree (CGPA 2.50+ or equivalent).

English Proficiency:
• IELTS / TOEFL score report OR
• An official Medium of Instruction (MOI) Letter from your school/university stating that your prior studies were conducted in English.

Document Checklist (EMGS Compliant)

Gather these documents before applying to avoid visa processing delays:

  • Full Passport Scan: Color scan of all pages (including blank pages & cover) with a minimum 18-month validity remaining.
  • Passport Photo: White background, strictly 35mm x 45mm, high resolution, no borders or eyeglasses.
  • Academic Records: Certified true copies of Transcripts & Degree Certificates (Must be clear PDF scans, not phone photos).
  • Proof of English: Official IELTS test report OR a Medium of Instruction (MOI) Certificate on official university letterhead with seal & signature.

Files are evaluated dynamically. You will receive an official update or Conditional Letter of Offer via email from the International Student Office within 48 to 72 hours.

Offer Acceptance & Document Submission

ISO Manual Clearance

Once evaluated, you will receive an offer email from International Student Office. To initiate your EMGS visa clearance, reply directly to iso.registry@aeu.edu.my with:

  • EMGS Fee Payment Receipt (Tuition deposit & visa processing fee)
    How to Pay Your EMGS Processing Fee:
    Once you receive your conditional offer email from ISO, pay via:
    Transfermate: asiaeuniversity.transfermateeducation.com
    Receipt Submission: Always send a copy of your bank deposit directly to iso.registry@aeu.edu.my to trigger your EMGS visa submission.
  • Official Bachelor's / HSC Certificate (Original certificate required; provisional certificates are not accepted by EMGS)
  • Full Passport Copy (All pages, including blank ones)
  • MOI Letter (Scanned clearly on official letterhead with university seal & stamp)
  • Completed Health Declaration Form

EMGS Live Tracking, SEV & Subang Jaya Onboarding

EMGS Tracking & Airport Arrival

Live EMGS Tracking: After ISO verifies your payment and files, track your visa progress live on the official EMGS Application Tracking Portal.

Single Entry Visa (SEV): Download your Visa Approval Letter (e-VAL) once approved and obtain your SEV from the Malaysian High Commission in your home country.

Arrival & Pickup: Fly into Kuala Lumpur (KLIA/KLIA2), inform ISO of your flight details for airport greeting, and proceed to Wisma Subang Jaya for onboarding.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get my Student Visa (e-VAL)?

Once the International Student Office (ISO) receives your complete documents and EMGS fee payment, EMGS visa approval (e-VAL) typically takes 14 to 21 working days. You can track your progress live on the official EMGS portal.

Can I submit a Provisional Degree Certificate for my EMGS visa?

No. EMGS rules strictly require official, final Degree Certificates. If your final original certificate is pending, submit an official Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter alongside your official transcript for initial assessment.

What is the Medium of Instruction (MOI) requirement?

If your previous high school or university degree was taught entirely in English, you do not need IELTS or TOEFL. Simply request an MOI Letter on your institution’s official letterhead (signed and stamped) to meet our English language entry requirement.

Where is the campus located?

All full-time on-campus programs are conducted in AeU Main Campus at SS15, Subang Jaya. SS15 is a bustling student district equipped with affordable housing, LRT public transit, halal dining and modern campus facilities.

Can I bring my family with me to Malaysia?

Postgraduate students (Master’s and PhD programs) are permitted to apply for Dependent Passes for their legal spouse and children through EMGS once their own Student Pass is finalized. Undergraduate students are not eligible to bring dependents under Malaysian immigration rules.
